Dan McCallion

The Dan McCallion path to Middletown Football:

Dan is a Frederick Native born January 27, 1986.  He is a 2004 graduate of Middletown High School with a great deal of history associated with Middletown High athletics.  In Football, Dan was a second team All-Area running back who rushed for over 1000 yards his senior year.  As a wrestler, Coach McCallion was a First Team All-Area wrestler his junior year and Frederick County's first 215 pound champion in 2003.  He followed that by becoming a Second Team All-Area wrestler his senior year.  He also was a two time State Finalist.  In his third sport, baseball, he was a Second Team All-Area player his senior year as well.  Dan attended Shenandoah University to play football two years following his graduation from Middletown. (An interesting note is that Coach Hildbold was the quarterbacks coach on that Shenandoah team in 2005.)  During Dan's time playing for the Hornets, they won the Conference his freshman year.  This is Dan's second year coaching at Middletown High School and he has been associated with Middletown football since he began playing in the MVAA.
